Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 17, 2026
This policy explains what information Genboard (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the Genboard iOS app and connected display service, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account information — your name, email address, and phone number when you create an account (or the name and email shared by Apple or Google if you sign in with them). Content you create — text prompts, photos you upload, and the images or videos generated from them. Usage information — interactions with app features, collected through our analytics provider to improve the product. Device information — push-notification tokens and basic device metadata needed to deliver notifications and diagnose problems.
How we use it
To operate the service: generating content, syncing it to your boards and displays, and sharing it with workspace members you invite. To send transactional notifications you control in iOS Settings. To understand product usage and improve Genboard. To keep the service safe, including reviewing content reported as objectionable.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run Genboard: OpenAI (prompts and uploaded photos, to generate images and videos), PostHog (usage analytics processed on our behalf), our cloud storage provider (content storage and delivery), Apple or Google (if you sign in with them), and our SMS provider (verification codes).
Content visibility
Content you push to a board is visible to members and invited guests of that workspace and on any physical display linked to it. Choose your workspace members accordingly.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account), which removes your account and associated personal data from our systems. You can also email us to request deletion.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to production systems is restricted.
Children
Genboard is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date above.
